Evergreen Packaging (“Evergreen” or “the Company”) has successfully completed the sale of its business to Southern Champion Tray, a leading manufacturer of fiber-based products and packaging solutions. Evergreen, founded in 2001, is a bakery, deli, food service, and wholesale packaging provider with a predominant market presence in California. The Company produces the pink donut boxes that are ubiquitous in Southern California.
Shawn Thompson and Diamond’s continued persistence enabled us to find the right buyer and complete the sale of the business, despite complications from COVID and supply chain challenges throughout the paperboard industry. The combination with SCT will enable Evergreen to continue supporting its customers with a nationwide focus while expanding SCT’s presence on the West Coast.
